About SFTP...

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) is an enhanced replacement for the well known FTP utility and has been available on most of the department's publicly accessible Unix and Linux systems since the autumn of 2000.

The College is becoming increasingly aware of computer network security issues and is continuing its rollout of a stricter security regime which will apply to all computers connected to its networks. To help us meet these stringent requirements, the college will be blocking inbound FTP connections from outside the college at the beginning of May.

Where can I get it from?
