August 24th: matlab2018 queue to be discontinued on the NextGen cluster
The matlab2018 queue was set up in December 2018 when Matlab on this cluster started to be upgraded piecemeal from R2016a to R2018b, so that jobs submitted to the matlab2018 queue would run only on nodes that had already been upgraded. This upgrade took a long time to complete since a user job started on Matlab R2016a in November 2017 didn't finish until August 15th but now that all nodes have R2018b installed, there is now no need for a separate queue for this version of Matlab and all queues now run R2018b. There are currently two jobs running in the matlab2018 queue but once these complete, this queue will be removed.
