Augmenting our GPU computing resources is nvidia4, a large state-of-the-art GPU server fitted with eight nVidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti GPUs, 1.5 terabytes of memory and 24 terabytes of local on-server storage. Although this server was installed in the third week of May, teething problems with machine stability under load, which were exacerbated by my not being on-site all the time owing to the College closure, meant it could not be made generally available to all until these issues were ironed out.
