March 2024 update:

The NextGen cluster is currently being upgraded with a Ubuntu update from version 20.04 to 22.04 which started on Wednesday March 20th following the addition of an extra compute node, macomp30, on Thursday March 14th. This upgrade is a rolling process being undertaken in the background on idle compute nodes that have been temporarily taken out of cluster service so cluster users will not be affected in any way by the ongoing work.
